The content featured on this site is copyrighted by its respected owner whether by SmickWorks or it's colleagues and clients. Unauthorized use of content is prohibited. Please send us a request if you wish to use any materials contained within the site for commercial purposes outside any working relationship with SmickWorks. Sample forms and contracts are offered as reference and may be modified for any use excluding the SmickWorks logos and company references.

Use of client content

Client contracts include a clause of permission for SmickWorks to use portions of contract work as portfolio material on SmickWork's websites and other media, including PDFs, videos, slideshows or printed promotional materials. Any client not wishing to have their content displayed can request a contract change, or a written request to have the sample removed. SmickWorks makes every effort to prevent private and proprietary information from being displayed, and will respond to any client request.

Print Jobs

When clients request print job(s) without specifying a particular vendor / printer, SmickWorks will make the most appropriate choice and bill the client. Any print job over $300.00 must be paid in advance of the print. Printer's final proofs will be sent to the client on request for a final verbal or written approval. Clients are issued electronic copies of vendor receipts.

Website Hosting

SmickWorks does not host website content in-house. Any hosting by SmickWorks is done offsite by 3rd party hosting center. By Hosting with SmickWorks, client agrees to the terms or guarantees given by hosting center. SmickWorks is not responsible for any site outages, planned or accidental by its hosting center(s). SmickWorks will make efforts to investigate outages and expedite repair where possible, but is not responsible for any financial, data or email losses incurred by client due to website outages caused by hosting centers.

Contract Payment

Typical contracts require payment of 15% - 33% of payment in advance of beginning project work. This varies depending on client relationship and project scale. Advance payment ensures meeting project timelines and agreement between client and SmickWorks on project outcome. Client will be notified 60 days in advance of domain name expiration. If request to renew the domain go unnanswered, site content will be taken offline and the domain released to public.

Any unpaid website fees can result in suspension and removal of the website domain and content.
